Glenn Shadix, RIP

A memorable voice actor moves on.

Glenn Shadix, best remembered for his portrayal of a portly, pretentious designer in the movie “Beetlejuice,” died on Tuesday at his home in Birmingham, Ala. ... He did one of the voices in the animated feature “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” written by Mr. Burton, and he was cast in two films directed by Mr. Burton, the remake of “Planet of the Apes” and, most memorably, “Beetlejuice,” the 1988 horror-comedy ...

Way back in 1997 when doing early development on Pixar's "Toy Story2," Glenn's name came up as a possible voice for "Al McWiggen." Of course, we decided on Wayne Knight instead.

I've always liked Shadix. Sorry we had to lose him at such an early age.
